Sharp Developed Lightweight Solar Panels
Oct 25, 2022
On June 6, Sharp announced that it has developed a flexible, flexible, lightweight solar module suitable for pure electric vehicles (EV) and other uses. The conversion efficiency reached 32.65%, increasing the solar power generation on the roof of the vehicle by one third, and setting a new world record for such products.
Unlike previous solar modules, which used two glass panels to encapsulate solar cells, Sharp uses thin film instead of glass, which makes the product flexible, lightweight, easy to bend and can be mounted on the roof of a car.
Data shows that the size of the solar module is about 29*34cm(area of 965c square meters), and the weight is only 56g, which is Sharp company and Japan's New energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) joint vehicle solar cell research project.
