Waaree Increases Capacity To 12GW
Dec 22, 2022
Solar module manufacturer Waaree Energies has announced that it plans to expand its module manufacturing capacity from 9GW to 12GW by March 2023, making this the largest module manufacturing facility in the world outside of China.
In May 2022, Waaree Energies acquired Indosolar, an Indian solar cell manufacturer. Meanwhile, Indosolar's Greater Noida plant, which will now also be used to produce components, has expanded from 4GW to 5.4GW a year.
Waaree said the company will also provide the latest efficient technologies such as TOPCon and Heterojunction (HJT) to meet domestic demand as it expands capacity.
Currently, the 600Wp and 650Wp components for Waaree Energies are registered in the list of approved models and manufacturers for new and renewable energy in India.
