The straight shank diamond drill bit includes integrated and split drill bits with straight shank. They have been developed for use on high-performance CNC glass drilling machines with long series batch production. A complete range of drill bit designs and specifications are available to fit each machine while meeting the automotive industry's exacting requirements.

The one-piece drill bit is mostly used to drill glass in automotive glass today due to its ease of use and excellent hole quality, resulting in high glass yields in the tempering process. While the two-piece drill bit combo offers greater flexibility, it requires more in-house control by plant personnel during setup.
