Electricity Consumption Much Increased

On October 13, the National Energy Administration released data on electricity consumption from January to September.
From January to September, the total electricity consumption of the whole society totaled 6,493.1 billion KWH, up by 4.0 percent year on year. By industry, the primary industry consumed 85.7 billion KWH of electricity, up 8.4 percent year on year; The electricity consumption of the secondary industry was 4,236.4 billion KWH, up 1.6% year on year; The tertiary industry consumed 1,137.9 billion KWH of electricity, up by 4.9% year on year; Urban and rural residents consumed 1,033.1 billion KWH of electricity, up 13.5 percent year-on-year.
In September, electricity consumption was 709.2 billion KWH, up 0.9 percent year on year. The primary industry consumed 10.5 billion KWH of electricity, up 4.1 percent year on year; The electricity consumption of the secondary industry was 467.6 billion KWH, up 3.3 percent year on year; Electricity consumption of the tertiary industry was 123.4 billion KWH, down 4.6 percent year on year; Electricity consumption by urban and rural residents was 107.7 billion KWH, down 2.8 percent year-on-year.
