SECI Launches Tender For 1.2GW TWWSS
Nov 16, 2022
New Delhi: Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has opened a tender for a 1.2GW Vista project combined with energy storage. The project will be installed on a build-ownership-operated basis and connected to the Interstate Transmission Network (ISTS). Minimum supply of 50 MW.
It is understood that SECI will sign a 25-year power purchase Agreement (PPA) with the hybrid developer, the price of which will be announced after an electronic reverse auction.
In the specification, SECI states that "the identification of land, the installation and ownership of the project, and the acquisition of the necessary connection authorizations, including connecting to the IST grid to supply power to SECI, are the responsibility of the hybrid power developer".
For installations considered to be mixed projects, the nameplate capacity of the solar and wind modules must be at least 33% of the total contract capacity. For example, for projects with a capacity of 100MW, wind and solar modules must have a capacity of at least 33MW.
In addition, the winning bidders will install at least 100 megawatt hours of energy storage system capacity for every 100 megawatt project contracted under the PPA. For each project, the storage system and the PV or wind modules must be located in the same location.
