How to solve chipping problem after the double edge grinding?

1.Problem phenomena  

(1) The upper edge chips

(2) The lower edge chips

(3) The grinding wheel breaks the glass

2.Causes and solutions

(1) Cause: the margin of glass edge is too much or the conveying speed is too fast.

Solution: It is recommended that the glass margin is reduced by 1-2mm on one side, and the conveyor speed of the belt is adjusted according to the thickness of the glass.

(2) Cause: The glass does not enter along the fixed edge by the wheel, resulting in a unilateral grinding wheel breaking the glass.

Workaround: Readjust the fixed edge and move the edge counter wheel.

(3) Cause: The angle of the diamond wheel is not correct (that is, the grinding of the rear foot).

Solution: The grinding wheel front foot is excessively cutting the glass along the lower edge of the burst side, and the rear foot cutting glass is on the top of the burst edge (the forward direction is the forward direction, and the output direction is the rear foot).

(4) Causes: There are quality problems in the grinding wheel used, the cutting force is poor, and the sound of grinding glass is also too loud. In addition, the grinding ratio of the grinding head distribution is not adjusted.

Solution: Replace the grinding wheel and readjust the grinding wheel cutting ratio.

(5) Causes: The cooling water pipe is blocked, the grinding point is not aligned or the cooling water is insufficient, resulting in insufficient water pressure to cool the grinding wheel.

Solution: Remove the water pump, water distribution pipe, grinding wheel water pipe and other debris and glass powder sinking.

(6) Cause: The bearing of the grinding head motor is damaged or the clearance of the bearing is too large, so that the grinding wheel produces radial runout and axial jumping.

Solution: Replace the motor bearings that are damaged or have too much clearance in time.

(7) Causes: The equipment has been loose for a long time using the rough grinding base, and there is vibration during the glass cutting process

Solution: Reinforce the fastening screws on the side of the motor base to make the motor slide flexible and vibration-free.

(8) Cause: positioning malfunction breaks the glass.

Workaround: Debug the optical eye or stroke switch.

3.Precautions              

(1) Before grinding the glass per shift, raise the compression frame to a certain height, check whether the water pipe has a good grinding point, open the pump to see whether the water pipe is unobstructed, and whether the water pressure is large enough.

(2) Before the batch processing of glass of different thicknesses, the cutting ratio of the grinding head is confirmed with a piece of glass that is consistent with the thickness of the processed glass. See if there is a collapse phenomenon in the upper and lower edges
