2022 China Solar Industry Conference Was Held

On December 1, 2022, the "2022 China PV Industry Annual Conference and (Chuzhou) PV High-quality Development Summit Forum" was held in Chuzhou, Anhui Province. With the theme of "Jointly Embrace the New Era of Double Carbon and Build New Heights of photovoltaic", the conference is hosted by China Photovoltaic Industry Association and Chuzhou Municipal People's Government.

Xu Jiwei, Party Secretary of Chuzhou, said in his speech at the conference that since the beginning of this year, Chuzhou has continued to maintain a good momentum of striving to take the lead. Its main economic indicators rank among the top in Anhui Province. The economic performance evaluation has been ranked first in Anhui Province for three consecutive quarters, and the business environment evaluation has been ranked first in Anhui Province for two consecutive quarters. At present, Chuzhou is experiencing one of the periods of development, strongest vitality and strongest atmosphere of innovation and entrepreneurship in history.

Photovoltaic industry is a sunrise industry based on semiconductor technology and new energy demand. As one of the most promising green renewable energy, it has developed rapidly in recent years and has become a "new business card" in China. With the breakthrough of key technologies and the continuous expansion of application scenarios, the cost of photovoltaic power generation has been significantly reduced, and the market size has accelerated, ushering in a new round of opportunities for the accelerated development of the photovoltaic industry. In December last year, the 2021 China Photovoltaic Industry Annual Conference and (Chuzhou) Photovoltaic Innovation and Development Summit Forum were successfully held in Chuzhou, promoting the photovoltaic industry foundation and good business environment of Chuzhou in an all-round way.

Since last year's conference, a total of 46, 33 and 16 projects in the PV industry above RMB 100 million have been signed, started or put into operation, with a total investment of RMB 98.6 billion, RMB 87.3 billion and RMB 19.6 billion respectively. Construction has started on a number of key projects, including Jetai PV cells with a total investment of 11.2 billion yuan, TRW Energy storage batteries with a total investment of 10.8 billion yuan, and Zhongrun PV cells with a total investment of 10.5 billion yuan.

At present, Chuzhou City firmly grasp the development opportunities brought by the industry conference, build chain, extend chain, strong chain and gather chain around the upstream and downstream of the photovoltaic industry, insist on the maximum promotion, make full use of market logic, capital force and platform thinking, gather a number of leading enterprises, and improve a number of key links. At present, Chuzhou City has built an increasingly complete industrial chain of silicon wafers, photovoltaic glass, batteries, modules, inverters and frames. In 2021, 6 of the top 10 global PV module shipments have settled in Chuzhou. Individual investment of more than 10 billion projects up to 12.

Nowadays, the photovoltaic industry of Chuzhou City shows a good trend of fast development, many major projects and complete industrial chain. From January to October this year, the output value of the PV industry of Chuzhou City reached 68.8 billion yuan, with a year-on-year growth of 126%. It is expected that the output value of the PV industry of Chuzhou City will exceed 80 billion yuan this year.
