1. Different concepts

Grinding is a kind of surface modification technology, which generally refers to a processing method to change the physical properties of material surface by friction with the help of rough objects (sandpaper containing high hardness particles, etc.), the main purpose is to obtain specific surface roughness.

Polishing refers to the processing method of reducing the surface roughness of the workpiece by mechanical, chemical or electrochemical action to obtain a bright and flat surface. It is the modification of the workpiece surface with polishing tools, abrasive particles or other polishing media.

2. Different nature

Polishing is to make the surface of the object flat, and polishing is to make the surface shiny.
