Preparation Before Using Angle Grinder

1. The angle grinder shall be in the charge of a specially assigned person and inspected frequently to ensure normal operation.

2. When replacing a new grinding wheel, cut off the main power supply, and check whether the grinding wheel has cracks before installation. If it is difficult to distinguish by the naked eye, lift the grinding wheel with a solid wire, and then tap it gently with a piece of wood to listen to its sound. (metal sound is better, dumb sound is worse).

3. The angle grinder must have a firm and suitable grinding wheel cover, and the distance between the bracket and the grinding wheel shall not exceed 5mm, otherwise it shall not be used.

4. When installing the grinding wheel, the nut shall not be too loose or too tight. Check whether the nut is loose before use.

5. After the grinding wheel is installed, it must be idled for 2 ~ 3 minutes to see whether its operation is balanced and whether the protective device is proper and reliable. During the test operation, two staff shall be arranged, one of whom shall stand on the side of the grinding wheel to start the grinding wheel. If there is any abnormality, the other shall cut off the power immediately at the power distribution cabinet. In case of accidents.

6. All users shall wear protective glasses and shall not face the grinding wheel, but stand on the side. When using the angle grinder, it is not allowed to wear gloves and wrap the cutter with cotton yarn for grinding.

7. Before use, check whether the grinding wheel is intact (without crack, crack or disability) and whether the grinding wheel shaft is installed firmly and reliably. Whether there are sundries between the angle grinder and the protective cover and whether they meet the safety requirements. When it is confirmed that there is no problem, start the angle grinder.
