The Largest Desert Solar Base Project

On November 8, the E section of EPC general contract project of Zhongwei 3 million kW photovoltaic Composite Project (Phase I) of "Ningxiang DC" supporting new energy base of National Energy Group started construction. The project is being built by CNNC Huaxing.
This project is located in the southeast of Tenggali Desert, Shapotou District, Zhongwei City, Ningxia. It is the key supporting project of "Ningdian Power into Hunan" project, the first UHV power transmission channel in the country, which mainly focuses on the development of desert photovoltaic base and the transmission of new energy. The installed capacity of the E section is 200MW, which is scheduled to be completed and put into operation on December 30, 2022.
