Solutions to grinding problems

On whether the 200-mesh wheel is too thin to lead to weak margin or easy blockage: the 200-mesh wheel is indeed finer than the coarser wheel (such as 80 mesh or 120 mesh), so its margin removal ability will be relatively weak. But that doesn't mean it can't be used for grinding, just that it requires a longer grinding time and/or greater grinding pressure. If the coarser particle size can meet the finish requirements, since it can improve the grinding efficiency, it is definitely better to choose coarser particle size. The blockage of grinding wheel is usually caused by the failure of the grinding chips to discharge in time. For CBN grinding wheels, because of their high hardness and wear resistance, grinding chips may accumulate more easily on the grinding wheel surface. Therefore, the selection of appropriate grinding parameters (such as grinding speed, feed rate, coolant use, etc.) is essential to prevent clogging of the grinding wheel.

The problem of whether the grinding wheel is completely opened: Solution: the opening edge can be sandblasted, abrasive or sharpened, and it is necessary to choose to use the appropriate sharpening tool (our common diamond pen may not be good at dressing the super hard grinding wheel, and you can consider using a whetstone or some soft metal). At the same time, check the surface smoothness and roundness of the grinding wheel, and trim if necessary. When the grinding wheel is used for the first time, it usually needs to undergo a certain sharpening process to expose more abrasive particles, thereby improving the grinding efficiency. Insufficient sharpening can lead to low grinding efficiency and grinding quality problems. Uneven or round grinding wheel surfaces can also affect grinding quality, leading to problems such as jarring.

The problem with the grinding wheel itself: the bond ratio and composition ratio of the grinding wheel do affect its grinding performance. If the grinding wheel is too strong, it may lead to low grinding efficiency and grinding quality problems.
About the cutting edge and sharpening method of the new CBN grinding wheel: The use of green silica carbide 120 mesh as a cutting tool is feasible, but the specific effect may vary depending on the type of grinding wheel and grinding conditions. In the process of cutting and sharpening, ensure that the contact between the tool and the grinding wheel is uniform and moderate to avoid excessive wear or damage to the grinding wheel. At the same time, according to the actual situation of the grinding wheel and grinding needs to choose the appropriate sharpening method and parameters.
