Application of rough grinding

Oct 20, 2021

Rough grinding is a grinding method characterized by efficient cutting of a large amount of excess materials. Rough grinding is a common name widely used in many kinds of rough grinding.

Rough grinding applications:

(1) Rough grinding of annealed or non annealed high-quality alloy steel or stainless steel billet with resin raw grinding wheel and high-speed heavy-load resin grinding wheel. It is used for grinding surface appearance defects (weld, crack, oxide layer, etc.).

(2) The gate, riser and blank gap of castings are ground and generally finished by resin raw grinding wheel.

(3) Use resin raw grinding wheel to thoroughly grind off the large burrs of die forging and forging or the flash left after gate repair.

(4) During the welding operation, the weld remaining on the surface of the weldment shall be subject to rough grinding, flat weld and rounding grinding.

(5) When large plates are cut into circular or other complex shapes by gas cutting, the slag produced by gas cutting shall be ground by portable raw mill, such as rough cutting of large hot-rolled building section steel and pipe cutting.
